2014 Sky Mt Veeder Zinfandel

With every passing vintage it seems harder and harder to find producers willing to craft old school, ageworthy Zinfandel.  For nearly 50 years Sky has stayed true to working with high elevation vineyards and making Zinfandel that’s built for the cellar.  100% Zin grown at a whopping 2,100 feet ASL, the wine greets you with a nose of wild mountain berry fruits tempered by hints of grilled herbs and spice.  Rich brambleberry and sweet cherry flavors caress the palate with classic peppery notes, all on the way to smooth velvety finish supported by fresh acids and cool minerality.  A beautiful Zin that showcases all of the grape’s many attributes.

2015 Kaleidos Orisis Grenache

This is just how we like our Grenache, with just enough age to showcase the varietal’s almost Pinot-like complexity alongside its youthful brambly fruit.  Great winemaking together with the Paso Westsides limestone soil makes it all possible!  Dark crimson in color, a nose of raspberry, grilled herbs and spice leads to a silky palate of rich brambly fruits and nuances of roasted meat and pepper.  6% Petite Sirah brings just the right touch of structure. The finish is long with a sublime combination of bracing acidity and fine-grained tannin, ideal for pairing with your favorite barbecue dishes.

2016 Rapscallion League ofRogues Reserve Zinfandel

A four-barrel selection that sees extended aging prior to release, this is textbook Paso Robles Zinfandel, bursting at the seams with dark, briary fruit and a rich, velvety mouthfeel.  100% Zin from the Wilson Ranch Vineyard, the wine has aged beautifully to reveal heightened complexities of worn leather, cooking spices, and herbs together with the dark, juicy flavors that make Zinfandel such a pleasure to drink.  The wine’s balance makes for stellar food pairing as well, particularly with barbecued meats.

2016 Villa Montefiori Nebbiolo

We are thrilled to offer another wine from our friend Paolo Paoloni in the heart of Guadalupe Valley. His 2016 Nebbiolo is solid proof that this up and coming region needs to be on your wine drinking radar screen! The Mediterranean climate brings richness to this structured expression of Nebbiolo.  The floral spicy nose leads you to rich berry and oak flavors, all buttressed by a firm tannin that begs to paired with grilled red meats or aged cheeses.

2017 Anelare Cabernet Sauvignon

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Boushey Vineyard’s original blocks of fruit first planted in 1980, widely considered to be one of Washington State’s finest vineyards.  A cool, late-harvested, southern exposed site, the long hang time makes for expressive wines with great depth.  The deepest crimson in color, aromas of plum and cherry are accented by hints of vanilla and smoky herbs.  Juicy black cherry and spice flavors are framed by a smooth, velvety tannin structure and enduring hints of herbs and dark chocolate.  A classic example of Cabernet from one of the state’s iconic growers.

2017 Elevee Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir

From yet another fantastic Willamette Valley vintage, Elevee’s 2017 Pinot Noir is a masterpiece that’s just starting to blossom into the grand Pinot Noir that it is.  Winemaker Tom Fitzpatrick is well versed with crafting complex, ageworthy Pinot, having worked with Domaine Hubert Lignier in Burgundy prior to setting up shop in the Dundee Hills.  This ethereal wine offers a perfume of pomegranate and strawberries with hints of mineral and tea, leading to a silky palate of raspberries and cherry skin flavors.  A cool mineral streak accompanies the wine’s vibrant acidity, making for a delicious finish that’s certain to gain complexity over the years.
